Correlation Properties Of Signals Generated By Nonlinear AR Filter Structures
In this paper correlation properties of signals generated by n-dimensional nonlinear AR-filter structures are considered. For continuous-value signals y(k) 2 I = [\Gamma1; 1), which possess the n- dimensional uniform probability distribution on I n , several analytical results for the autocorrelation function are obtained. Then the influence of the word length in discrete-value realisations as well as the variance of the results based on a finite correlation time are presented. Finally, the periodisation of signals to arbitrary periods is discussed. 1 Introduction For several applications, like CDMA communication and measurement, signals with ffi -like autocorrelation properties are required. For their generation a class of continuous-value discrete-time chaos generators can be designed to generate signals y(k) 2 I = [\Gamma1; 1) with n-dimensional uniform probability distribution (pdf) on I n and thus with autocorrelation property C y (ø ) = 0 for ø = 1; : : : ; n \Gamma 1 [1]. ..
Discrete-Time Chaotic Coders For Information Encryption -- Part 1: Systematic Structural Design
This paper deals with the systematic top down design of discrete-time coder systems for information encryption. From the axioms, that the coder should be a maximally disturbed but invertible channel (according to the information signal) a general structure containing a static nonlinearity and a dynamical subsystem is derived and their system characteristics are specified. It turns out, that the encoder necessarily has to exhibit chaotic behaviour in order to satisfy the design axioms. Design examples are given and privacy / secrecy as well as the reliability under the condition of a weak disturbances are discussed. Realisation problems are considered in Part 2 [5] of this paper
